Christmas Gift

Hi Toph! I just wanted to give you a heads up that I'll be leaving a gift at your door this evening. I know it sort of ruins the surprise but I wanted to make sure you got it. Merry early Christmas!

[Arrakis will be too busy delivering gifts to reply.

Her present is a music box with a large raised carving of a star so she can easily feel it. The song the music box plays is a melody from home. Something like this. It's the same mysterious, healing song that is sometimes carried on the wind when Arrakis wants to cheer everyone up. Since Toph saved him from the dark she's allowed in on the secret. Don't tell anyone. Along with the music box is a small bag of chocolates. They are mildly spicy with a hint of orange.]

Hey, Toph! Just letting you know that I'm sending you a gift. It should be arriving there soon. Happy holidays!

[ When she finishes the message, she'll hear the familiar buzz of Clover's wings, as the palisman sets a box someplace where Toph will easily be able to find it. Inside the box is a dried flower hair comb. The flowers are surprisingly sturdy, and no matter how roughly they're handled they don't fall apart or crumble. ]

[Malleus has been graced with the gifts of secret gargoyles for some time now, and has been lamenting his inability to return the favor.

However, he had now reclaimed his true form, and the small human had mentioned being keen on “seeing” a full dragon. And thus he sniffed out his equally reclusive neighbor’s abode, assumed his true form, and waited. Humans were quick and fickle creatures, she would return before he grew bored.

Especially since he greatly admired her reclusive refuge. Yes, this was a very nice place to wait.]

[ He is not, as it turns out, a particularly difficult creature to feel. Especially when he hangs around outside one of her set up stone huts.

She's not out quite as often as the moment, but those senses of hers can also pick up a dragon that big from quite a distance.

Eventually, she appears near the edge of the clearing, a big beaming smile on her lips. ]

You know, I can't recognise you in that form right?. But if I had to guess...

[Toph honestly probably noticed his arrival, the gift he delivered was big and cumbersome, so he needed his true form to carry it- but Toph would wake up to an entire (likely stolen) Gargoyle right outside her hut.

For others he wrote letters, but for her he just made a very large noticeable footprint next to her gift. She would know.]

He might find one of the gargoyles in his cottage has been changed, shifted to the shape of a dragon. As close as one can get in smoother stonework. She appreciates it! ]

Christmas Gifts!

On the night of the 24th the quiet flapping of wings could be heard outside as Arrakis delivered his gift. He quietly sang the same melody as the music box he gave Toph last year as he dropped off her gift. He stifled a small shiver. By the goddess it got cold at night. He had more gifts to deliver though so he turned to leave. If you are fast you might catch him before he takes to the skies again.

Inside the box is a small bag of homemade chocolates that are slightly spicier this year. The hint of orange is the same though, along with some cinnamon this time.
